Who We Are
Our mission is to empower the next generation of aviation professionals through education, access, and opportunity.
Durant High School Aviation offers the AOPA You Can Fly! curriculum and Tango Flight, preparing students for FAA certification exams and careers in:
🪽Aviation and drone operation
👨🏼🔬Aircraft maintenance and engineering
🥽Sheet metal repair, welding, and aerologistics
These programs create a direct pathway to university programs like Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s robust aviation degrees, including both undergraduate and graduate offerings.
Our Goals
The Flyin’ Lion Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to:
✈️ Providing flight training assets and resources to eligible students
🎓 Offering post-secondary scholarships for aviation careers
🔬 Supporting STEM education across Durant ISD through grants and in-kind support
